Two Moon

Two Moon was the name of two prominent Cheyenne chiefs who flourished in the 19th century. Their identities are often confused in historical records and it is sometimes difficult to distinguish which individual is meant by the writer.

The elder Two Moon, the uncle of the younger man, was an important warrior chief who led his warriors in many battles against the U.S. Calvary, as well as traditional tribal enemies. He was an active participant in the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
