New York born Fashion designer Zac Posen is replacing long time judge Michael Kors. Zac Posen has been one of the most critically acclaimed and critically dissed designers of his era. The 32 year old designer began his education at Parsons. He has become a favorite to Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna who wore his blue dress at the Grammys in 2008, and Beyonce Knowles. He got his big career boost when music mogul Sean Combs aka Diddy made a huge investment in his line. Ashley Olsen interned for him while she attended NYU.
Project Runway Season 11 will be the first year without Michael Kors but there is also a change in the competition. This will be the first team edition pairing up 16 new designers in teams designing garments to impress regular judges and celebrity guest. They will be put through a series of challenges and given distinct themes for each runway challenge.
