The Compiler of this dictionary work has been for more than forty years laboring as a Missionary among the Micmac Indians. As many as forty thousand of their words have been collected and arranged in alphabetical order; (incl. the whole of the New Testment , and portions of the Old Testment ), have been translated and published in Micmac, with other smaller books.
