Edward Two Bulls, Jr. Hinhan Wicahca – Old Owl, was born on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota in 1938. He attended Seventh Day Adventist Mission School in Red Shirt, SD and the Oglala Community School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Two Bulls was a self-taught artist who worked mainly in oils. He taught art in the country schools in Shannon County in South Dakota for a number of years. In 1980, he was involved in an automobile accident, which has left him a paraplegic. 1n 1985, Eddie received the “Artist of the Year Award” for the state of South Dakota by the Cowboy and Western Heritage Hall of Fame. The same year he also received the Engdahl Award by Sister Kenny Institute International Art Show for disabled artists. He also demonstrated for a number of years at the Indian Arts Museum in Colter Bay, WY in the Grand Teton National Park.
Having devoted his life to the arts, Mr. Two Bulls passed away in March of 2011.
