The most fundamental difference between this recording and all previous Bob Chartrand sessions was that in this case, the total production element was in the control of Bob Chartrand and his co-producer, kid brother Alvin Chartrand. Alvin, a guitar whiz in his own right, was a long time member of Bob’s old band, The Jesse Band. With the concept of pursuing an edgier sound and the inclusion of Alvin’s experience in experimenting with rhythm/blues and some hip hop in other studios recently, the result from all reports is a much rounder, more diverse and captivating sound. Vaguely raw, and silky enough to tantalize the mainstream appetite in music. Musical fusion at its best!

The first single to be welcomed was Track #6, “She Lies” released in March 2013. At the time of this Bio update the song was in the mid 20s position and rising fast in the National Aboriginal Music Top 40 Countdown.
