  • Two to three handfulls of BLACK birch twigs
  • about 3-4 quarts spring water
  • sugar to taste
  • Directions:
    Boil birch in water until water is a dark red or brown color.This will take a while so be patient. When it is a good color, sift out all bark and twig residue.Mix in sugar to desired sweetness. Chill and serve ice cold.

    Note: Black birch is not found in alot of areas very often so some people may have to find someone who can get it for you.
