Whenever I see a male cardinal (bright red) as opposed to the female cardinal (tan with bits of red) I always say outloud, “Who was that masked man?” The male cardinal is bright red who wears a black mask so I always think relationships whenever I see male or female Cardinal Medicine. I think relationships not only because of my silly little phrase, but because Cardinal Medicine is a monogomous bird. At the same time it is a solitary nester.

Male and Female Cardinal Medicine have similar songs that they sing. The female will sing from the nest and the male will answer back. The female will sing a duet with the male during their courtship. When Cardinal Medicine crosses your path this is bound to signify duality in relationships. If you are single, it could mean a relationship is near. If you are coupled-up, it could also mean getting your mojo back and start courting each other once again. If you are in relationship where there is infidelity going on, well then I don’t have to tell what this means do I? MONOGOMY!
