Count Frontenac, governor of New France, refused English demands to surrender during the Battle of Quebec (1690).
Abomazine also Bombazine (c. 1675; † 1724 in Norridgewock ( Maine )) was a chief of the Abenaki .
Abomazine resistance during the King-William-war (1689-1697) of colonial expansion in New England. He signed 1694 with the Massachusetts Bay Colony sign a peace treaty. Renewed hostilities came as Abomazine 1694 in what is now Maine was caught in Pemaquid. The mutual attacks lasted throughout the Queen Anne’s War (1702-1713). Abomazine was one of the signatories of the peace treaty ending the war. The hostilities with the colonists, however, not heard. Abomazine was restored in 1724 Norridgewock (Maine) of British soldiers killed.
